Our Philosophy
Herbaceous Acres holds environmental stewardship in high regard. It reaches from the vendor supplies we purchase to the products we provide; from the water and energy used in our production of products and the day to day operation to our creative and the beneficial use of waste materials.

Herbaceous Acres believes it is our social responsibility to promote the health and safety of our employees, support and create community projects that enhances the quality in everyone’s life we come in contact with.

Herbaceous Acres will continue to build its economic strength by means of economic growth opportunities for its employees, strong partnerships with our suppliers and prosperity to the world of commodities.

Our Sources
Herbaceous Acres only purchases from vendors who are certified organic through a USDA accredited certification agency, and they must have clear and transparent working conditions in place.  Our primary source of herbal material is from certified organic farms.

Our Packaging
Herbaceous Acres only packages its products in recyclable, reusable packaging. Our letters, brochures, invoices and envelopes are printed on paper produced by FSC standards.  We will never utilize nor support the use of virgin paper materials in anything we print within our business. All of the office supplies we use within the entire company are made from recycled, tree free, or chemical free sources.

Our Energy Usage
We have installed in our principal facilities compact fluorescent bulbs which draw far less power than traditional fluorescent tubes and incandescent bulbs. We anticipate construction of our new facilities to LEED standards which harnesses over 80% natural light. This will provided us with the opportunity to NOT require day lighting in our administrative areas and our production plants. All of the appliances, electronics, and other small to medium sized electrical components that we purchase are always E-Star rated.
